I started reading the new book 12 Rules For Life: An Antidote To Chaos by Jordan B. Peterson.
In the forward by Norman Doidge, he states one of JP's themes:
if one wants to live a full life, one first sets one’s own house in order; and only then can one sensibly aim to take on bigger responsibilities.
This is an anti-overreaching view.
